Construction (design and management) regulations 1994
The construction (design and management) regulations (CDM) represent a concerted effort in the UK and across Europe to reduce the number of accidents that occur on construction sites.
Under the regulations, Health and Safety must be considered from project conception through design phases to final completion. This applies to the majority of work undertaken involving site operations.
Clear duties are imposed on all parties involved in the construction process, from client to sub-contractor, (including designers and other professionals).
Aspinalls through collaboration with our customers ensure adequate consideration is given to Health & Safety at the design stage and adequate attention is given to Health and Safety planning at the construction phase.
